Born from love. Built for every warrior.
Walk With Me didn't begin as a website. It began as a promise — made quietly, in the middle of one of life's hardest seasons.
Where it all began
ALS doesn't knock gently. It arrives without warning and changes everything — the routines, the plans, the future you thought you knew. For the family behind Walk With Me, that moment came in Milford, Michigan, on an ordinary day that became anything but.
Watching someone you love face ALS is one of the most profound and isolating experiences a person can go through. You search for answers, for community, for someone who truly understands — and too often, you search alone. That longing for connection is what planted the seed for Walk With Me.
We started small: sharing stories, gathering resources, reaching out to other families. And slowly, something beautiful happened. People found us. Warriors found each other. Caregivers found a place to breathe. Families found words for things they had never been able to say out loud.
Why a bear?
The teddy bear has always been a symbol of comfort — something soft to hold when the world feels too hard. Our Walk With Me Bear represents that same quiet companionship. It's a reminder that you don't have to be strong every moment, that it's okay to lean on something gentle, and that someone is always walking beside you. The bear is our promise made visible.

Your quiet companion on every step of this journey
What we believe
No one walks alone
Every warrior, every caregiver, every family member deserves a community that shows up — not just on the hard days, but on all the days.
Every story matters
Your experience of ALS is uniquely yours. We honor every voice, every journey, and every chapter — including the ones that are still being written.
Hope is not naive
Choosing hope in the face of ALS is one of the bravest things a person can do. We believe in holding space for both grief and hope — at the same time.
Community is medicine
Connection heals. Being truly seen and understood by people who get it — that is something no prescription can replicate.
You found us for a reason.
Whether you arrived here carrying fear, grief, exhaustion, or a quiet flicker of hope — you are welcome here. Pull up a chair. Stay as long as you need. We are glad you are here.
