Meet Bear

I'm not an expert.

I'm simply walking this road beside you.

Marine Veteran. Special Olympics athlete. ALS warrior. And your companion on this journey.

A quiet forest path — the journey Bear walks every day

"You are not alone."

The ALS journey

The day everything changed.

There's a moment — and if you've been there, you know exactly what I mean — when a doctor says words that rearrange your entire world. For me, that moment came with an ALS diagnosis.

I sat in that office and thought about everything I still wanted to do. Everything I still wanted to say. And I thought about all the other people who would sit in that same chair, hear those same words, and go home to search the internet at midnight, looking for something warm. Something human. Something that said: you are not alone.

That's why Walk With Me exists.

Marine Veteran

Semper Fidelis. Always faithful.

I served as a United States Marine. The Corps taught me things that no classroom ever could — discipline, resilience, the kind of loyalty that doesn't waver when things get hard.

Those same values are woven into everything Walk With Me stands for. We don't abandon people when the road gets difficult. We walk beside them. Always.

Special Olympics

Every athlete deserves a chance to compete.

My connection to Special Olympics runs deep. I've seen firsthand what happens when someone who has been told they can't — does. The courage. The joy. The absolute refusal to be defined by a limitation.

That spirit lives in this community too. ALS does not define you. Your courage, your love, your story — that's who you are.

Why Walk With Me exists

Because I couldn't find what I needed.

When I was diagnosed, I searched for a guide that felt human. Not clinical. Not overwhelming. Something written by someone who actually understood what it felt like to receive this diagnosis and still choose to get up the next morning.

I wrote the Walk With Me Handbook because I needed it — and because I knew others would too. I built this community because no one should walk this road alone.

This isn't a charity. It's a companion. A hand reaching out in the dark saying: I'm here. I see you. Keep walking.

My promise to you

A promise I intend to keep.

The handbook will always be free.

This community will always be a safe place.

I will always be honest with you.

I will walk this road beside you — every step.

"I'm not an expert. I'm simply walking this road beside you."

Walk With Me

No one should ever have to face ALS alone.

Walk With Me is a community built on shared experience, quiet strength, and the belief that walking together makes every step a little lighter.
